Tactile Architecture at IQF

The “Tactile Architecture” exhibit is one of my favorites….probably because, back in 2017, I had a quilt hang in this category. It was my first foray into IQF and was an amazing experience.

Here are a few of this year’s entries…..

These first two quilts are by the same maker…….

“Urban Pause” by Jill Kerttula

While I like this first one, the second one appeals to me greatly!!!

“Urban Wall” by Jill Kerttula

I have two similar photos from China and I think either would make a fantastic quilt…

But, enough dreaming of future quilts!!!!

I like many things about this quilt, but especially the quilting in the sky…..

“Golden Mountain City – Jiufen” by Hsiu Chih Wu

The perspective in this next piece is wild…..

“MONA Perspective” by Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry

I appreciate the sweetness of this next scene……

“Jiufen Old Street” by Pi-Yun Wu

I have seen many quilts in this style but I truly love the colors in this one…..

“The Street Where I Live” by Debby Coleman, quilted by Pamila Bowen

….and this whimsical town is so fun!!

“Nonsense Town” by Cathy Perlmutter

Finally, I have visited many overseas cities that looked just like this……

“El Centro” by Kathy Anglea

There is just something about row houses!!!

Tomorrow we will check out the quilt, “My Australia” by Helen Godden…..don’t miss it!!
