When I post a blog each day, I share it to various Facebook groups, including “For The Love Of Scraps”…..

On one of the original posts about my “10-minutes per day” project, Cassandra Ervick commented, showing two amazing crumb quilts.
I contacted her and asked for permission to show them here and also asked her to tell us something about them. This was what she said……
Crumb quilting is the ultimate relaxation sewing for me. I love being able to just sit and sew with no regard to matching seams, or following directions or worrying about matching colours. Whenever I am stressed out, crumb blocks are what I make. Once I have enough blocks then I worry about the pattern and calming down the chaos a bit! These two quilts (and the 4 others I made in 2023) were gifts for friends and coworkers.
I love the way that she “tamed” the crumbs in this quilt…..

And, this “Sunshine and Shadow” setting is perfect for crumbs…..

Seeing these wonderful quilts makes me want to start plowing through my bags of crumbs…. but I must finish the squares first!!!
Thank you Cassandra…..

…. for sharing these two wonderful quilts with us!!!

The elongated diamond quilt is perfect- just perfect!
Thank you Frances for sharing these beautiful quilts. A new way to deal with the stressors of life…I love it. I can’t wait to see more of your 10 minute block creations.
