Final favorites from Small Pictorials

I enjoyed the pictorial quilts so much and here are the last few of my favorites….

There were a number of landscape quilts that made marvelous use of embellishments….

“Valley View, Yosemite” by Sandra Mollon

I am especially enamored with reflections and this quilt accomplished those perfectly!!

..

“Dancing Oaks” by Sue Colozzi

Look at the threadwork here….

“Moonlit” by Wendy L. Starn

The quilting on this one is outstanding….

“Peaceful Snowy Woods” by Karen Kuske

Interestingly, the applique pieces were treated with Mod Podge to avoid fraying. Have you ever heard of that before?

Looking closely at the appliques, they sure are smooth edges….

“Stone Bridge” by Li-Hsiang Wang

“Sunrise at Chapoquoit Marsh” by Sue

On this one, I appreciated the bead flowers and the 3-D leaves…..

I ADORE this quilt…..

“In Full Bloom” by Karen Hull Sienk

I love a garden that is chaotic and covered in flowers and this speaks to my soul!!

The quilting adds so much dimension to the petals and leaves….

Finally, this one is very different for a “pictorial” quilt, but I sure do like it….

“Apple blossom” by Sherrill Ash

Well, that’s it for the Pictorial Quilts from the International Quilt Festival.

We only have 5 more days of our IQF tour so keep coming back to see all of the outstanding quilts!!
