The other day I got an email from the Modern Quilt Guild announcing the new challenges for their 2026 show. I was excited to learn about these, so I started reading the emails.
The first section was about the “American Patchwork & Quilting Diamonds Challenge”….
This sounded interesting, especially as I remembered my accepted entry in 2023…..
I had a quick think about a recent idea I had for a diamond quilt, but then moved on down the email.
The next section related to the fabric challenge, which was interesting since I have entered that two times before. These are fabrics…..
….and I have to say that the colors don’t call to me greatly.
So, I thought that I was through with this particular email!!
Later that day, I received an email from my friend Erin, asking if I had seen the MQG email, and had I clicked on the Diamond challenge. I quickly clicked and THIS is what I missed…..
My quilt from 2023 was being used as one of the examples!!!!
I was SO excited, and now I REALLY want to try one of these challenges!!
In today’s world where clicking on links is sometimes a bad idea, I am so glad that Erin told me to click on this one!!
