The quilts of Victoria Findlay Wolfe

As I walked thru the National Quilt Museum, I enjoyed seeing several quilts from Victoria Findlay Wolfe. I have just learned of work in the last few years and have enjoyed watching her process on Instagram.

This is a more traditional quilt from her…..

“Mindful Balance” by Victoria Findlay Wolfe”

Her notes about this quilt…. “I enjoy piecing the same color over and over so that the seam becomes an important line in the impact of the quilt.

You definitely see that train of thought in her special exhibit called “Option Expedition”….

Here is the “signature” quilt of the exhibit….

All of the quilts in the room follow a similar theme. Looking at the room in panorama, you see the extent of her creativity…..

Each wall contained an amazing display….

They even provided a place for you to try such creativity yourself….

….but I am afraid that my mind doesn’t work that way!!

The other question that blazed in my mind was “How many yards of red fabric did she purchase??!”
