I love this quote…..

And, it is very appropriate for this particular season in my quilting career….. you see, I have received THREE show rejections in the past month…..
Cherrywood said no to “Dots Down the Drain”…….

…and Houston said “no thanks” to two scrap quilts and “Sadie, The Saddle-Billed Stork”….

Not that I am surprised by any of these rejections…..they were all “Hail Mary’s”!!
Someone asked me why I continued to enter when I had so many rejections, and wasn’t it debilitating when something was not accepted.
The answer is in the above quote….. if I don’t try, I will NEVER get anything into a show because….
The odds increase, the more I try!!

What an important message. It takes courage to “try”. Your sharing of the highs and lows that might happen along the way is so real and honest. Thank you.
Thanks Christie. You are always an encouragement to me!!
And you’ve been in quite a few show! Which goes to show, you’re consistently putting your work out there!
Thanks for the encouragement Andrea. I am feeling in a slump right now….really need to get excited about something soon!!!
