On Friday, I said that we would be looking at more quilts from IQF today, but, sometimes a mother’s pride gets in the way!!!
Our son, Brian, always loved music. Over his 18 years in our home, he learned to play piano, trumpet, drums, and various string instruments. There was ALWAYS some kind of music coming from his bedroom down the hall!!
Today, he is a Music and Sound Designer in the gaming industry.
Georgia Public Broadcasting recently released this video about his career…..
Needless to say, Michael and I are so proud of him and all of his accomplishments.
As I listened to his daily plan, which included time for development, connection with others, and time for specific creativity, I realized I could learn a lot from him!!
Well done my son…..
And thank you, my readers, for indulging a Mom’s moment!!
Come back on Tuesday. There will be more quilts….
I PROMISE!!!

“Let’s Get Scrappy is about how to decide, not about what to make.”
Let’s Get Scrappy is an on-demand online course that helps quilters overcome decision fatigue and finally make sense of their overflowing scrap bins. With four hours of step-by-step video instruction, you’ll learn simple systems for organizing, piecing, and pressing your scraps—so you can stop overthinking and start sewing beautiful, coordinated quilts with confidence and joy.

Fascinating video about your son. What an interesting work he does. Insightful ways to develop one’s craft. Thank you for sharing this with us. You should be proud!
Thanks Christie!! You know how we worry about our kids and seeing him in this context is good for a mother’s soul!!
You must be so proud! He sounds like a fine young man.
We are absolutely proud Janet. It is such fun to see him loving his work so much!!
You should be proud as a mom. You raised a fine young man with ambitions and goals and learned the important things in life. (Which started with you) I’d like to share this with my growing grandchildren.
Thank you Leona. We have loved seeing both of our kids grow into amazing adults!! Please feel free to share it!!
Congrats Mom & Dad! Strong foundation for success in creative career–well done!
Thank you Glenda. Both our kids have done well and we are so proud of them!!
What an articulate young man! And I learned something about you–I didn’t know that you play piano!
He is pretty amazing, Andrea!! And yes, I took lessons for 12 years, played in churches for 25 years and (sadly) never touch it now!!
