There are certain traditions wrapped around Thanksgiving…..
The first is getting our Christmas tree, and of course, we have to check out the animal petting area…..

We quickly picked out our tree and schlepped it into the house…..

And, that was enough work for Thanksgiving!!
BUT, the next morning it was time to decorate for Christmas, and this is where you can see how my mind works.
The FIRST decoration put in place was…..

…this sweet Holiday quilt that my Mom and I made together.
Next item was this…..

….quickly followed by these….

Okay…the Christmas quilts are on the wall…..

Woman after my own heart! All my white wear turkeys were put away and the first thing out were the quilts! After all, we do have our priorities! You made me smile this Sunday morning in chilly NC!
Always happy to make a quilter smile!! It has been a rainy and chilly day in Georgia too!!
Frances- Yes you can stop now!
Oh I really loved seeing the animals, and that lovely quilt you made with your Mom. It’s lovely.
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, and glad your home is ready for Christmas. Thanks for sharing tidbits of your life with us.
Thanks for wanting to know about my life, Naomi!! Yes, we had a relaxed and fun holiday weekend…..I even got to do some piecing!!
Put up our 3 foot tree, a wreath & a mini quilt. Calling it good 🙂 Love that you have that quilt memory with your mother!
Sometimes less is more!! I am getting to the age where I leave something off every year. This year it was the front porch lights….our house will be dark for the holidays!! Mom and I worked together on 3 different quilts, and we were in progress on one when she passed away. I really need to pull it out and finish it up!! It has waited for 8 years. I guess it can wait a little longer!
