Great idea!! What marking pen do you use?
Hi Nonie. I used a Crayola Wash Out Marker for this one. I often use a fabric “blue” marker, but on the darker fabrics it doesn’t show up as well. I completed this quilt over several months and it washed out perfectly!!

Years ago, in a quilt group that used to exist at a church I used to attend, we watched while one of our members FREEHANDED a circular spiral like that on a square kid’s quilt. She did a fabulous job. We were all in awe. But I think I will try YOUR technique.
I can’t imagine drawing it free-hand. Mine would be truly wonky!!
