February is convention time for my husband, Michael’s, side-hustle. Two weeks ago we spent 5 days in Atlanta and the World Congress Convention Center.
While enjoying the banquet reception, I began perusing the art on the walls….
I LOVE this piece by Lillian Blades……

It is described as “Mixed media wired assemblage,” and it is marvelous.
When I look at it from a distance, it reminds me of a “Duckworth” scrap quilt….

Have a closer look at the artwork….

Isn’t it wonderful!!

Such a delightful piece of art! Thanks for sharing 🌹
You are welcome Carolyn. I love seeing things like this when I am not in “quilt” mode!!
Interesting piece. We have a great public library with lots of art and there is a piece very similar to this one done by a Japanese artist.
I thought it was really fun. I could see a quilt made similarly to it.
