Next up on my personal retreat was to make yet another Block-Of-The-Month challenge.
When I looked further at the options for February, I realized that I didn’t want to make any of the “cutsie” designs….

…but would stick to the pieced blocks instead. IF I end up wanting or needing these blocks, I can always go back and add them at a later date.
SO….. I chose this very simple design….

I looked at the colors I had already used and then headed to the gold/browns.
The first step was to sew the two triangles together….

….press them, and then add the darker triangle…..

After my troubles on the last block, I decided to cut the brown triangles oversize and then cut them down…

It was a GOOD decision!!
The last step was to add a “flip-and-sew” triangle to one side of the square and sew the block together….

It will be interesting to see how this light blue-green works in the quilt…..finger’s crossed!!
