I wanted to give you a quick update on this past week’s retreat…..
Packing up was a bit like playing Tetris….
….but everything fit, including my chair…..
It was good to get to the center, get everything set up…..
…and start sewing!!
I will talk in detail about these in future posts, but I started out working on the black and white scrap quilt….
I got to this stage…..
…and couldn’t figure out where to go from here, so I pieced these blocks together and packed it up.
On to project number TWO…..
This one was piecing Highland Cows.
It took several hours to piece each cow, and the 2nd one that had to be reversed was extremely frustrating. There was LOTS of ripping out!!
By the time I got to the third cow, I had figured out how to do them (sort of), so it went together easily…..
I found a couple of hours to sit on my swing…..
….and enjoy the sun while I did a bit of thinking and planning.
I worked a bit on two charitable projects brought to us by our members.
There were fun conversations during meal times, and I LOVED getting to know some members that I hadn’t spent much time with before.
All too soon it was time to pack up…..
….and head home again!
It was the perfect way to get a jump-start on these two projects, and I can’t wait to tell you more about them in future posts.
