Let’s use Foam Core Again!!

A few weeks back, I talked about the possibility of using a quilting ruler made from a piece of foam core board.

Today, I need to follow a LARGE curve and don’t have a ruler that will work. Can I do it again with Foam Core????…..

I was so thrilled with how well this worked…..

…and how easy it was to quilt…..

….and will DEFINITELY use this technique again in the future!!

How about you…. have you ever tried this?

This week, I had fun playing with the Westalee Spinning Ruler #21……

This one is different because if that TINY little dot at the bottom….

See what I mean…..

I love how easy this design is to make, and I especially love that you can keep adding to your hearts’ content!!

Now I need to make a quilt with blocks that will highlight this fun design!!

Simple ruler….WONDERFUL design!!

Last week we had fun with the Westalee Spin-E-Fex Ruler number 16, ending up with this magnificent wreath design…..

Today, we are going to use a ruler that looks similar, but produces a completely different design…..

I really do enjoy the design that this produces….

….and like it even better when you quilt it BACKWARDS…..

Next week, we will play with a different sort of ruler and end up with a completely different design!!

Be sure to come back for more!!

Making the Geese Fly!!

Today we are supposed to be working on the borders of the Orange and Green Charity quilt, but time has gotten away from me, so instead let’s flashback to some great Dot-To-Dot Quilting…..

These simple lines are a great way to emphasize the movement in the Flying Geese blocks…..

I haven’t talked about this quilt in a while, but I love the “Crumbs For The Geese” design…..

Remember that there is pattern available that includes not only the written instructions, but a link to a private video about making flying geese blocks AND making crumb blocks.

You don’t want to miss it.
