The Negative Space category is one of my favorites because all of that space gives room for….
QUILTING!!!!
So….let’s go walk the aisle!!
The first place ribbon went to a quilt that had an important political message…..

The second place selection was this interesting quilt……

The maker wanted to create the idea of curves and movement using only straight lines. She certainly did that with her “sliver” piecing….

The third place quilt invites viewers to contemplate whether they are ENOUGH…..

This next design came from the idea to strip down a design into 2 colors and negative space…..

I appreciate the mixture of curves and lines!!
The quilting adds so much to this fractal design…..

https://onlinefractaltools.com/https://onlinefractaltools.com/I had to find out exactly what a “fractal” was…. a non-regular geometric shape and can be thought of as a never-ending pattern!! If this sounds interesting to you, this quilt was designed using online tools. Check out http://www.onlinefractaltools.com.
I plan to spend some time on this site!!
There is SO much to like about this quilt…..

This quilt was based on the hundreds of copper domes on the buildings in Prague. Her desire was to evoke looking up at the sky and catching the profile of one of those domes as the sun sets behind it!
I love the “hidden” domes in the background

Today I will leave you with……

This quilt makes me dizzy and I can’t imagine actually making it. Well done Danielle!!!
Come back tomorrow for more!!
