Today let’s finish up the Negative Space category from Quiltcon 24!
Let’s get started with a favorite…..

This quilt is part of a series where inspiration comes from the tumbling block pattern and the maker’s love of origami. Her goal is for it to have dimension but in a very graphic way, with no shading or painting!
And, as you probably already figured out, I love the quilting…

….and that is a LOT of pebbles!! Well Done Claire!
This is a fun use of black and white fabrics….

There is just a SMALL amount of black in this quilt but it accentuates the pattern nicely…..

About a year ago I purchased a template for making ovals and this quilt makes me want to pull it out and get started!
I can’t imagine piecing this next quilt…..

It brings a whole new dimension to the “Lone Star” design!!
There are more ovals in this quilt…..

That chartreuse green just MAKES this one!!
Finally, I LOVE The shapes and colors in this one…..

Using the light colored thread in the quilting was the perfect addition to add more “colors” without adding more fabric…..

WEll, that is it for “Negative Space”. On Monday we will head to the “Small Quilts”.
They are amazing….you won’t want to miss them.
