The LAST of QuiltCon

Well, after 42 posts, I can officially say that I have shown you ALL of my favorites from QuiltCon-2024!!

Today, we will take our last stroll thru the “Super Scrappy” Category.

I love the plaid and checkerboard design in this quilt….

“de Colores” by Charles Cameron

I loved the artist’s statement…..

I don’t know what I like best about this next quilt….the 60-degree diamonds or the plethora of fabrics…..

“The Meeting Place” by Andrea Barrett

And the quilting adds so much as well!!

This quilt looks simple, but the use of fabrics makes it anything but simple..

“A Study of Rothko in Fabric” by Cathy Martin

Have a closer look…..

This quilt is the “minimalist” version of the “maximalist” quilt that I posted about previously….

“Treaded – Minnie” by Gail Weiss

You can check it out HERE…..

I have been looking for a fun strip pattern and ran across the “vortex” quilts like this one……

“Sunburst” by Holly Gatto

I have a slew of hand-dyes that this would be perfect for!!

Look at the wonderful piecing…..

This next quilt is a great example of improv piecing….

“In Excess” by Patti Coppock

The next quilt has a LOT of HST’s…..

…. ONE-INCH HST’s!!!

…..TEN THOUSAND HST’s!!!

Oh my!!

And last, but definitely not least…..

“Next Verse. Different Than the First” by Cassandra Beaver

It contains wonderful touches of hand quilting and just a touch of ties.

SO….we are officially finished with QuiltCon .

Thank you for joining me on this long journey!! Several people have “thanked” me for sharing the quilts and my thoughts on them. Honestly, writing these posts has given me a chance to re-live the show at a more leisurely pace!!

Now I have to figure out a way to get to Arizona next year!!

Of this group, my favorite is Sunburst, but I am also intrigued with In Excess and with the HST one.
