Every two years, we have a wonderful regional quilt show put on by the East Cobb Quilters Guild in Atlanta, Georgia. I LOVE shows that have an overlook and my first view of this show meant that I had several hours of fun to come…..
The first quilt encountered was the Best of Show…..
It was a gorgeous quilt and well deserving of the BEST-OF-SHOW!! It was just as exciting when I walked around to the back and found this…..
I love that she centered the background “strip” so that the quilting showed so beautifully!!
This next one made excellent use of Kaffe Fassett fabrics and is all ENGLISH PAPER PIECED!!…..
I loved the colors and designs in this one….
I have always loved the Coastal Lily design and, once again the colors and designs just tickle my fancy!!
This medallion quilt is lovely in the muted colors…..
…but, for me, the quilting is what makes it. I love how the slightly curved quilting lines add motion to the quilt…..
This simple Pink and White Irish Chain is so sweet and the quilting is perfect!!
The aesthetics of these paths is so pleasing….
….but MAN, is that LOT of pebbles….
This variegated “Wedding Star” pattern from Judy Neimeyer is taken to a different level by the use of TWELVE different Bali Pop strip sets!!
I have long enjoyed the look of Chandelier quilts and this one is everything that I like about them….
Many years ago, I made quilted banners for my church and these would have been perfect….
Finally for today, feast your eyes on this HAND-PIECED quilt that took almost five years to complete….
Just look at this TINY block….
Come back tomorrow and we will continue our trip thru “Georgia Celebrates Quilts”!!
