FMQ MUST-haves!!

Do you have a list of things that you need in place before you FMQ?

Here is mine, and fair warning…. it may not be entirely “normal” …..

Pick a bobbin thread and make sure that you have plenty ready to go…..

Pick a top thread – light blue in this case……

Hook quilt up to dog grooming bars (helps it float and not drag)……

Put Christa Watson’s “Quilt Blocks” in place (keep the quilt from sliding off the table)….

Make sure that my quilting gloves and favorite snips are at the ready…..

Shoes off…. I have better control without shoes…..

Cup of tea awaiting sipping……

TV tuned to a show that I have previously watched (so I can just listen while I quilt)……

And finally…..pillow in my lap to keep the quilt from falling off of the front of the table…..

If I am working on my domestic machine, I have a few other items such as checking tension and foot pressure. But since my sit-down longarm is only used for quilting, those items never change.

So, as I said, my list is a bit different from most!
