Calendar excitement!!

Have you ever used the American Quilt Society weekly calendars?

For many, many years, they were my staple for keeping our family’s schedule. Each week had two pages…..

….one for the week at a glance and one with a picture of a fantastic quilt.

I remember spending hours each year looking at the quilts that were included.

I finally outgrew this system, but I still have very fond memories of receiving my new calendar each year.

With that intro…..

Back in September, I entered two quilts into the AQS annual quilt parade. The quilts are entered by region (state or country) and viewers vote on their favorites.

Check out this website to see the winners.…..if you scroll down to the “Best of Show”, you will be amazed at the wonderful quilt!!

To make a long story, short…..Mine didn’t win!

However, I was contacted by a representative from AQS who asked if I would agree to have my quilt “Hiding Behind the Red”…

….included in the 2026 calendar!!!

Of course, I said an immediate YES and, just like that, she was packed up and off to a photography session!!

This past week a UPS box was on my porch and my fun quilt was returned to me…..

Now I can’t wait for 2025 to be over to see the 2026 calendar containing one of MY quilts!!
