Well, let me introduce the “Square Spiral”…..
Check out just how easy it is…..
And remember that you don’t have to use a ruler. Your longer lines might not be exactly straight, but that would look AWESOME!!!
And remember that you can make it look even fancier by quilting the lines 1/2-inch apart rather than 1-inch.

When you said you were going to be quilting a square spiral, I was imagining something with all right angles, just getting smaller and smaller as it went along, something like an extended Greek key (see https://www.etsy.com/listing/630812577/spiral-design-svg-square-spiral-svg).
In Zentangle, the design you made is called “paradox.” I love how it looks on the quilt! Beautiful. Maybe I’ll try it some day.
I hadn’t thought about it being a Zentangle. I love the name Paradox!!
