I have been quilting for almost 40 years and have made hundreds of quilts.
I have kept photos of the quilts for the most part, even some from a LONG time ago…..

…but I don’t have any more information on them, especially the ones that have been given away.
For example, I know this one was given to charity…

….but I have no idea when, or what size it was, or ANY other details!!
To add another complication, in the last few years, I have been entering quilts in various shows and was getting tired of ALWAYS having to come up with an Artist Statement, and ALWAYS having to pull the quilt and measure it.
This has been my solution…..

For each quilt, I record the year finished, the name of the quilt, the quilt size, my artist statement, and a list of what show it was submitted to.
It is a great way to keep track of my quilts.
How do YOU keep track of your art projects??

On Tuesdays, I provide a tip, technique, or product review. Please subscribe to the blog to ensure that you don’t miss ANY of them!!
Have you seen My Quilts app? A great way to save info about quilts.
Now that you mention it Christie…..I do remember seeing something about it. I will definitely check it out!!
Thanks!!
I have not saved any info about my quilts, unless I made a post about them. That has to change soon.
I do like that I have blogged about all of the quilts since 2010. At least those are saved!!
