Today’s quilt inspiration comes from a beer can that I saw in Mozambique……
“2M” beer (also know as Mac-Mahon) is a popular lager named after a historical figure in Mozambique.
It was a very nice beverage and I enjoyed it at numerous meals.
BUT, what really caught my eye was the can……

In particular, I love the three encircled flying geese on the bottom of the right can.
And even better, as we drove, EVERY store that sold 2M beer proudly displayed those flying geese as well!!
So, now I am not only thinking about a thirst-quenching brew, but also about using this type of flying geese in a quilt!!
What are YOU thinking about??

Cool! A great memory is always the best souvenir.
I totally agree Mary Ann!! And, I don’t have to pack it or find a place for it in my house!!
It’s striking, but it seems like an awful lot of work to piece as opposed to classic flying geese. I guess you could make up a paper-piecing pattern, but that is tedious as well.
That is true Andrea. But it was a fun inspiration in an unexpected place!!
