FIVE DOTS!!

Last Friday we laid down 21 dots and quilted this fun design…..

Today we are going to make it even easier….. FIVE dots, and great design!!

I do like how this design fits into the 4-inch squares and will definitely plan to use it again…..

Now the question is… “What else can we do with this charity quilt??”

Come back next week to find out!!

Let’s Quilt a Square Spiral

Don’t you love it when something looks SO difficult but is really super easy?

Well, let me introduce the “Square Spiral”…..

Check out just how easy it is…..

And remember that you don’t have to use a ruler. Your longer lines might not be exactly straight, but that would look AWESOME!!!

And remember that you can make it look even fancier by quilting the lines 1/2-inch apart rather than 1-inch.

So, what do you think?

Will you try this new design?

Quilting a Square Meander

Last Friday we looked at my quilting design for this simple charity quilt…..

Now that the main section is quilted, it is time to tackle the borders….

I am THINKING about quilting a square meander. I know that I can draw it, but can I quilt it???

So, now I know that I am CAPABLE of quilting the Square Meander…

… it is just a matter of finding time this week to finish off the project!

Stay tuned!!

Creating Every Day

Well, I have now finished my first week of spending a few minutes every day in my studio.

And it has been successful!!

Last year, I pieced scrap quilts during this time each morning, but this year I am starting out with quilting.

As I posted on Friday, I planned the quilting for my simple charity quilt…..

….and each morning I have set myself up to quilt for the allotted time….

And, when I listen to a favorite book…..

….the time just flies past.

Two more sessions should finish the interior quilting!!
