Yesterday, I wrote about making decisions for this quilt…..
….and that included quilting decisions too.
I finally decided to start with what I knew I wanted to quilt…. straight lines following the diagonals….
When I get through with those, then I will make the NEXT decision and continue……

It starts with one simple shape and takes it to a whole other level…..
You get so much texture…..

It is always hard to find easy designs to use for large backgrounds, but I think that the ORANGE PEEL is PERFECT!!
AND, you can have SO much fun when you vary the size of your starting squares…..
So, next time you want a great background, pull out the “ORANGE PEEL”!!

We all think that having a bad hair day is not a good thing, but a “Bad Hair Day” quilting design is just the ticket for practicing circles in ALL directions….
It would be great quilting for a scrap quilt where you want lots of texture, or just as a practice piece to help you learn to move your hands in ALL directions!!
