I love flowers and I love flower beds that are overflowing with color!!! We currently have one flower bed in our yard and I love to fill it up with everything that I can find!!

It comes to reason that I would love to have flowers in my studio and this stained-glass piece did just that……

It was a fun way to add some color AND a floral component to the room.

Athens, Georgia has a very vibrant art community and local festivals abound, especially ones dedicated to Folk-art!!! As a result of these many festivals, certain artists have emerged as iconic to the area.

“Cap Man” is one of those!!!

He can be seen around town driving his “bottle cap truck:…..

All of his art fits into the Folk-Art realm and each contains a saying of some sort, a fun flower or design and, of course, the “cap man” signature!!

I love this one and it helps me to remember the importance of living, laughing and loving!!!

There was a woman in our guild named MaryAnn Mauney and she was a WHIZ with needle felting with embroidered accents.

She taught several classes and I dutifully took all of them but I could NEVER accomplish what she could.

Finally, I just asked her if I could purchase one of her pieces…..SO MUCH EASIER!!!!

I love this piece because it reminds me of furrowed rows in a field with each containing it’s own special crop!!

Sadly, MaryAnn passed away a number of years ago but I love that I have something to remember her by!!
