Our County has a wonderful art foundation that puts on shows through out the year.
I was excited to hear that one of my friends (and guild members) Laura Leiden, had a solo show of her quilted art.

I have posted about her work previously and I am so impressed with the way she combines alcohol inks with quilting.
She creates alcohol ink designs on paper and then has them printed onto fabric.
Then the REAL magic happens!!
She starts quilting and things appear out of nowhere!!….

Just look at the faces…..

I love the colors in this piece…..

Probably my favorite piece was this one…..

I love the bright promise of spring that this quilt brings. It ALMOST came home with me!!
Laura has always been a mover and shaker in the art world and I am so glad that she has turned to quilting!!
Congratulations on a wonderful show!
