More Negative Space

Before we look at more of the Negative Space category from QuiltCon24, let’s look at the definition…..

This first quilt exemplifies that negative space and also some amazing quilting…..

“Obscure” by Heather Akerberg

Let’s look closer at the quilting….

The use of shape in this next quilt is wonderful….

“Ordinary World II” by Sarah Muslim Lefebvre

This quilt was made in response to the “Pantone Challenge”. Now I didn’t know that there WAS a Pantone Challenge but I sure want to know more about it!!

This quilt is MOSTLY negative space….

“Head Adjustment” by Tanie Tanti

This quilting provides great texture…..

The goal of this next quilt was to create one that looked like embroidery stitches….in particular Sashiko embroidery….

This next quilt is a take-off on a traditional American red and white quilt….

“Left Turn” by Barbara Danzi

I really like the “stripes in the curves…..

“Cosmic Blossom: by Jeanne Eileen Garcia

And this next one has even more of them……

“Summer Journey #1” by Lenny VanEijk

I REALLY need to play with them at some point!!
