Graffiti Quilting by Karlee Porter
One of my favorite resources when I need ideas for free-motion quilting.
This book is packed with quilting motifs and, even better, inspiration for combining them into larger designs. It’s the kind of book I can flip through when I’m staring at a quilt wondering, “What should I quilt here?”
Lots of ideas. Even more inspiration.
WHY I LIKE IT
I love books that I can actually keep beside my sewing machine and use, and Graffiti Quilting is one of those books.
What I especially like is that it goes beyond showing individual free-motion quilting motifs. It gives me ideas for putting different shapes, textures, and designs together — which is often the harder part of deciding how to quilt something.
I don’t necessarily copy a design exactly. Sometimes seeing one idea is all it takes to send me in a completely different direction.
A great book for getting the quilting ideas flowing.
