“Walk 2.0” by Jacquie Gering

Proof that you can create interesting machine quilting without dropping your feed dogs.

This book takes walking-foot quilting well beyond simple straight lines, with ideas for geometric designs, curves, repeated shapes, and more.

Keep the walking foot. Expand the possibilities.

WHY I LIKE IT

I like Walk 2.0 because it shows just how much you can do with a walking foot. You don’t have to free-motion quilt to add interesting texture and design to your quilts.

The book is filled with ideas that take basic lines and shapes and turn them into quilting designs with much more visual impact. It’s especially useful when I want the control of a walking foot but don’t want the quilting to look predictable.

And, as always, I can take an idea from the book and change it to suit the quilt in front of me.

A great reminder that beautiful machine quilting doesn’t have to be free-motion quilting.
