WHY I LIKE IT

Flying Geese can be frustrating when you’re trying to sew every seam perfectly and still end up with the points exactly where they belong.

With the Wing Clipper method, I don’t have to do that. I make the units slightly oversized and use the ruler to trim them down afterward. That gives me accurate finished units with nicely positioned points — without requiring perfect piecing along the way.

The ruler works for a range of Flying Geese sizes, so it isn’t a one-project tool either.

Anything that lets me sew first and worry about perfect sizing afterward gets my vote.
