Yesterday I walked you thru the process of picking out quilting designs for my 2-inch scrap quilt.
By the way, come back on Friday and I will show you some of the quilting!!
Once I had quilted the interior, it was time to figure out what to put in the borders, and frankly, I was stumped!!!
I spent about an hour drawing and re-drawing designs, trying to figure out how to miss the white square that I had inserted in the border but fitting into the rest of the border.
Here are a few of my tries…..

I liked the swag border but not the way it worked around the white square.
I had the same issue with this idea……

I really got crazy here…..

Finally, I thought about switching to triangles…..maybe they would be easier to fit…..

When I finally figured out what to do, I was too excited to take a photo so here it is on the quilt…..

….and look how fun the corner turned out…..

This entire quilt has been one of the most fun that I have ever made and this final bit of quilting just capped it off perfectly!!!
So, come back on Friday for the quilting and on Saturday I share the COMPLETELY FINISHED QUILT!!
.
I love the design you came up with!
Thanks Andrea. I was really pleased with it too!!
