Yesterday I talked about my new scrap quilt ending with a bunch of 60-degree triangles ready to go.
Now, let’s get real here……
This isn’t how I normally work!! I seldom start out without a plan and it is definitely OUT of my comfort zone!!
With that in mind, I headed to the design wall and started playing with different arrangements.
I could do this…..

…..or this……

Or, I could add some triangle pops of color…..

Or….maybe add some slivers of color between some of the triangles….

OR…..
Wait a minute….. I like that last one!!!
So now I need to figure out what else I can do with this idea!!
Alas, no more time this week….maybe next week!!
.
I love reading your designing blogs. The slivers of brights in the sea of deep blues is amazing. Can’t wait for the next post.
Thanks Christie. I am enjoying the process even though it doesn’t come easy for me!!
I like the last one best.
lookin’ good.
Thanks Jeanne. It is my favorite so far but who knows where I will finally land!!
Although I loved the last pic you posted in your blog, the one with the red really worked in breaking up the blue. I really love the blues – the cobalt is heavenly.
I was initially working toward the red one, but now I am not sure. I will make more and then decide. I agree about the blues. They are hand-dyed by a friend, and she made so many DEEP blues!!
I like the hexagon arrangement. Maybe you could add touches of red to that.
That is a thought too. At this point I am just making more triangles (until I use up the blue scraps) and then go from there.
