Finally Finished

There was one exhibit from the International Quilt Festival that I found truly interesting. It was called “Finally finished”. Here is the description…..

Let’s look at a few of the quilts…..

This top was made circa 1850’s. Teresa loved the large open areas and filled them with gorgeous quilting!!

…and look at the stuffed berries!!

This top was a garage sale find!!

….that she quilted with modern quarter-inch grids.

I love the “Trip Around the World” variation…..

…and appreciate the free-motion quilting motifs that she added….

This simple design…..

….called for some equally simple (but effective) quilting….

It was a sweet exhibit ….

….filled with classic quilt designs!!

I truly enjoyed thinking about what the original makers would think of their quilts now.

This bring me to a dilemma that I have been considering…. come back tomorrow and I will share more!!
