Wall quilts are some of my favorites….to view and to make!
The reason is that I personally don’t need any more bed-size quilts, but I can always find room on my wall.

This quilt placed first at Paducah, but I had seen it before in Houston, where it was one of the special award winners.
While at Houston, I heard her speak about making the quilt, and you can find it HERE.

I don’t know what “sample book” she was working from, but the detail is exquisite…..

It deserved the 2nd-place ribbon!

This quilt is made by the way the borders flow into one another. Very appealing!!

This heavily quilted piece was awarded an Honorable Mention ribbon.

This quilt was made as part of a mandala class by Christopher Weinhold.

Apparently, this is a pattern…. “Green Tea & Sweet Beans” by Jen Kingwell.
Regardless, I love the cacophony of colors and flowers….just what I want my flower garden to be.

To continue in my Africa theme, this one caught my eye…..

Yu-Chen is another of the Taiwan quilters who add so much detail to their quilts, cover them with tulle and then heavily quilt them.
Each little streak of light is made from several different fabrics…..
