Quilts and Other Stuff from Frances

Sculptures, sculptures, sculptures

Today I wanted to share some of the sculptures that I enjoyed at the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen.

There were several galleries that looked just like this…..

One of my favorite things is when the sculptor can convey fabric in MARBLE.

I especially loved the sheerness of the fabric in this one…..

HOW did he do this……

I also loved her feet……

They were not petite at all but much like MY size 10 foot!!

I laughed at the pose for this guy…..

“Docker” by Constantin Meunier

It looks like a layout from GQ Magazine!!!

…..and then there were the expressions on these two……

I kind of know how they feel!!!

The expression on this man’s face says it all…..

“Distaste Personified” by Honore-victorin Daumier

I love that it is named “Distaste Personified”!!

There were two small sculptures that seemed whimsical….

Finally, Michael and I once visited the Rodin Gallery in Paris and we both were enamored with his work. I always appreciate when I can see a bunch of his works in one place, and “The Thinker” is one of my favorites!!

“The Thinker” by Auguste Rodin

Come back tomorrow and we will finish up at the Glyptotek!!
